I am a Registered Nurse and love the health professions.  I am excited to be able to teach students about something that I truly love.  I receive a great deal of satisfaction working with your students.
I graduated from Ricks College with an A.D. in nursing in 1976.  I have had the opportunity to work in many areas of nursing but was ready for a change when asked to teach CNA at Snake River High School in 1995.  I have finished my college education as a Professional-Technical Education Specialist.  Since starting at Snake River, the Health Professions Department has expanded to include Medical Terminology, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy Technician, Orientation to Health Professions, First Responder, as well as the Certified Nursing Assistant..
I occasionally still find myself involved in nursing on the side. It helps me stay current with what I am teaching. I am the head rater for the CNA manual skills testing and my husband, Kurt, and I are the CPR instructors for ISU.   In my spare time I enjoy quilting, yard work, and being with my family and grandchildren.  My husband and I also enjoy traveling during the summer.
