Dear Parent

If you have not already done so,  please access the syllabus for this class. You will find the rules for the class along with the material requirements.  I  require this for the class so that your student will have what is necessary to pass the class.   The three ring binder and calculator is very necessary.

Let me give you a quick run down of the procedure I follow for each chapter.
Chapter 1
do worksheet    [50 questions(46 multiple choice & 4 essay)]
hand in worksheet
lecture on chapter
laboratory exercise
correct and hand back worksheet (before test)
The worksheet contains all the questions that are on the test.  30 multiple choice and 4 essay questions.  The multiple choice questions are each worth 2 points, multiple choice total is 60 points.  Each of the 4 essay questions are worth 10 points, essay question total is 40 points.  The total for the whole test is 100 points.
do chapter test

This procedure is repeated for each of the ten (10) chapters.

I try to follow the syllabus as close as possible.  However, some times I find the need to review concepts within some chapters.  I have built into the syllabus extra days so that can be accomplished.  Which results in the syllabus being off by a few days.

Hopefully this computer site will help answer your questions.  If not please feel free to call me.

Thank you

Terrel McDermott
